Dear Parent, Guardian and/or Family Member:
Sertoma Star Services has a group life insurance policy in effect for the clients of our organization that are either their own guardian or have a private guardian. The policy benefit is $5,000 and is reduced to $3,500 at age 65 and $1,000 at age 70. The policy has been in effect since 1973 with Metropolitan Life.
lt is time to renew the life insurance policy for any family member that is interested. The annual cost is $91, the same cost as last year. Families that did not choose to keep the policy in effect last year may choose to enroll this year. For new policy holders, please contact Nancy Meyer, 708-888-7408, for an Arc form.
We ask that any parent/guardian/family member interested in keeping the policy in effect please submit a payment of $91 to Sertoma Star Services to reimburse the organization for twelve months of the premium (October, 2026 through September, 2027). Individuals for which the $91 premium is not paid will be dropped from the policy. Checks can be made payable to Sertoma Star Services and sent to the attention of Nancy Meyer, 1005 West End Avenue, Chicago Heights, IL 60411 by October 30, 2026.

Rideshare Access Program (RAP)

Pace’s Rideshare Access Program (RAP) is a rideshare subsidy program for ADA-eligible riders who choose to use Uber or UZURV for same-day trips instead of traditional ADA Paratransit services.
