Sertoma Star Services Parents and Guardians are invited to join us for an evening of fellowship, dinner, and program updates.
We are hosting our annual Families United Meeting on Wednesday, October 28 at 6:00 p.m. This event will take place at the Irwin Community Center, located at 18120 Highland Ave., Homewood.

This event is an excellent opportunity for parents and guardians to connect with our staff, meet other families, ask questions, and share resources about our initiatives across the agency. We will be serving a complimentary dinner, in addition to providing time for you to ask any questions you may have.
In addition to program updates, we will have two speakers:
Denice Rhodes: Founder and CEO of Caregivers’ Safe Space, a nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for those who care for others by providing support, education, wellness resources, and a safe community for caregivers.
Katherine Hamann: Board Member of S.I.B.S (Supporting Illinois Brothers and Sisters), a non-profit serving siblings across the lifespan. Her sister Margaret lived in state institutions since she was two years old and their unfolding story made Katherine an advocate for people with I/DD and their families.
