Don’t miss two summer opportunities for youth from our Community Mental Health and Counseling:
YOUTH EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPY GROUP
Expressive Arts Therapy draws from various art forms such as writing, dance, drama, storytelling, painting, and drawing. It includes a multimodal approach, combining therapy and the creative process to promote personal growth, self-discovery, and healing. Creative expressions give therapists various tools to help people tap into their imagination, body sensations, feelings, emotions, and thought processes. This group requires no prior experience or talent.
– Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 24 through July 31, 3 to 5 p.m.
HIGH SCHOOL READINESS GROUP
This four-week group focuses on providing teens with skills so they can enter high school with confidence! Designed for eighth graders, the group is tailored to cover the topics the individual members want to learn about. Topics may include stress management, organizational skills, social skill building, risk-taking, motivation, and social media. Teens can choose from two sessions offered.
-Session 1: Tuesday, June 17 to July 8 from 1 to 3 p.m.
-Session 2: Tuesday, July 22 to August 12 from 1 to 3 p.m.
